Find Out What Song Topped the Charts on the Day You Were Born

The Billboard 100 is the place to look for top music artists. It’s where songstresses like Taylor Swift win awards and accomplish major feats. Where up-and-comers like Sam Smith or Hozier can rocket into recording artist stardom. And now, Billboard is the place to go if you’re curious about what was hip on the day you were born.

It’s simple. Look for the “This Week In” button on the far right of the Billboard home page. You can flick through any date that you wish. Imagine the possibilities. Relive the top songs from your middle school days. You can even look back to see what was popular when your parents were your age.

You’ll discover all sorts of music history gems. Want to relieve the Top 100 circa 2005? Done. This week in 1979, we would have been jamming to Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” If it were 1991, we would be blasting “Gonna Make You Sweat” by C+C Music Factory from our speakers.

Oh, and here’s a hint: don’t forget to look up the music videos for your newly-discovered birthday song. You won’t regret it.
