As we all slowly freeze in this so called “Spring” semester, we begin to wonder if it is possible to survive the winter without looking like we are wearing a bear. As much as those huge winter jackets make us feel all warm and fuzzy, they can be a hassle to put on and off; plus, it makes it really hard for one to look cute. For the sake of fashion, I put together a few outfits that will keep you just as warm, but will allow you to move and feel like you can take on the world!

Look 1

The key to any of these looks is layering! This way, you can be prepared to spend hours outside without feeling too warm when it’s time to go inside. Having a tight shirt underneath and layering it on from there is a great option. You can layer turtle-neck sweaters (which are super in right now), varsity jackets, and even throw a trench coat overtop!

This outfit is proof that no matter how cold it may be, wearing a skirt is always an option. My favorite trick is to switch your conventional tights for actual leggings. No one will be able to tell you’re actually wearing pants! Don’t even get me started on the top layers. There are so many, and you can peel them on and off according to the temperature.

If you still feel more comfortable with a winter jacket, have no fear! This outfit manages to look uber cute while incorporating a heavier coat. Don’t forget! Just because it’s cold, it doesn’t mean the sun isn’t out. So lather on some sunscreen and put on those daring shades!

Look 4

For those days when you know you will be inside a lot, but still need to walk on ice, this ensemble is perfect! The cropped sweater will let you breathe while you’re inside, and it totally matches those clunky snow boots!
