In the semester of seemingly daily blizzards, shelter-in-place warnings, and days with four hours of sunlight, it can be easy to slip into the winter blues. BUT, have no fear collegiettes! Spring semester has tons of amazing things in store for us on Mt. Saint James. Here’s just a few things to look forward to…
- Valentine’s DayThis day of love is right around the corner! Spending a day with your boy toy or your gal pals is a sure fire way to pull yourself out of the dumps. Go grab a fancy dinner, a bottle of SkinnyGirl margaritas, or a ticket to Fifty Shades of Grey – you’ll be all set.
- Spring WeekendSpring Weekend is arguably the most anticipated time of the year. Sure, we may have to suffer through a long hard winter, but we sure know how to celebrate when the sun comes out again!
- Warmer WeatherIt may be hard to imagine now, but soon enough we’ll be able to walk down Easy Street without the protection of a tremendous parka and a sweatshirt and a hat and gloves and boots… Spring has a special feeling at Holy Cross, and everyone can’t wait to be outside!
- Red Sox SeasonBoston sports have been on a roll lately! With everyone still riding high from the Pats Superbowl win, there certainly won’t be a lack of support for reigning World Series Champions. Show your New England pride and cheer on the Sox!
- Spring Break AND Easter BreakOne of the many perks of a Jesuit education – we get two breaks this semester! Whether they consist of partying it up on a Mexican beach or just copious amounts of snuggling with your dog and watching Netflix, all Crusaders could use a chance to relax every now and then.
- Doing Homework on the HovalAhhh the swallows of Dinand… as much as we all love Club D, I know everyone is anxious for that first warm day. Doing our homework on the Hoval, playing Frisbee and Can Jam, listening to music blaring out of a Healy window – what could be better?
- St. Patricks DayEven if you’re not Irish, St. Patrick’s Day is always a blast at HC. Break out your “Kiss Me I’m Irish” T-shirt and give yourself an excuse to celebrate the Spring!
