Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and even though it might be known as the sappy holiday in which relationships discuss their love and affection, it is better known as the eve to which all the chocolate and heart-shaped candies go on sale. So, in celebration of this wonderful holiday, I am going to tell you how to throw the best weekend ever with your girl friends.

1. Go see 50 Shades of Grey

The phenomenon is finally hitting the big screen hoping to score big with the demographics of soccer moms and college girls. So grab your best friends and some popcorn to watch this anticipated flick; but watch out, the Red Room scenes may be too steamy to watch.

2. Have a Glam Session

What’s better than getting your hair, makeup, and nails done all in one night? The answer: pretty much nothing. Buy some Sally Henson Salon Effects to get the professional manicure look without the salon prices and get your hair did. It doesn’t matter if you decide to go out or not, you’ll look great regardless.

3. Throw a Dance Party

When you’re with your friends, no one can judge you, so don’t be embarrassed to turn up the One Direction music and break out into song and dance – just make sure they don’t record you for future blackmail purposes

4. Eat Everything!

Life is short – eat the dessert first! Its okay, everyone deserves a binge every now and then. So grab the Nutella, cookies, and whatever else you and your friends have been craving and eat up.

If you want some inspiration, my new favorite and easy dessert to make are Rice Krispies Buckeyes. All you need is: 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 bag of marshmallows, ½ cup of creamy peanut butter, 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal, and 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside. Melt the butter in a saucepan over heat and add the marshmallows and stir. Once they’re completely melted you can remove them from the heat. You can now add the peanut butter until smooth. Now add the cereal, stirring gently until coated. When they cool, roll into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet(s).  Melt the chocolate completely and use a toothpick to dip each Rice Krispie ball into it, leaving an “eye”. Return the ball to the wax paper and repeat this using the remaining treats. Refrigerate until the chocolate has hardened and cooled. You can hold them in an airtight container for later or eat them right as soon as you can. Either way they’re delicious!

5. Hand Out Cards

You may not have a guy on Valentine’s Day but that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to get a card. Make, buy, or print out a hilarious card to give to your friends that will have them smiling from ear to ear.
