Ways to Dress up Leggings for the Day to Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Its time to get dressed and you look in your drawers to see that all you have to wear are leggings, leggings, leggings…or jeans. But let’s be honest, who wants to wear those anyway? Though you wore leggings and a sweatshirt yesterday and the day before, leggings are ten times more comfortable than jeans. How can you change up your look so you dont look like a hot mess every single day? Luckily, there are some looks already put together for you based on what you’re feeling and what you have in your closet!

1. The “it’s raining again and I don’t want to leave”

  • thick, cozy long sleeved crew neck
  • rain boots
  • umbrella

2. The “I didn’t wash my jeans but I washed everything else”

  • nice ¾ sleeve top
  • printed cardigan
  • brown/black boots
  • statement necklace

3. The “I bought this flannel at goodwill in South Side”

  • plain/band t-shirt
  • flannel
  • Converse or Doc Martins

4. The “I might work out at the Pete but I probably won’t I just want to be comfy”

  • Nike shirt
  • sporty jacket
  • running shoes

Most importantly, don’t forget your winter coat and gloves!!
