For those of you who have never experienced Relay for Life, right now is the perfect time to sign up! Relay for Life is the largest student-led event on the UT campus and is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. The money raised goes toward several different places, such as providing accommodations for patients who must travel far away from home for treatment. The event on our campus is put on by three event chairs as well as 25 committee members.

Last year UT raised almost $78,000 for the American Cancer Society. This year we have a goal of $92,000, but we need all of your help to reach this number! We also have a goal of 900 participants, and we are halfway there! The event will be held on April 18th at 1pm until April 19th 6am at Pepin Stadium. The theme is “Relay Around the World.” This year each team gets to pick their theme based off of the amount of money they raised, so the team who raised the most money gets first dibs. This is a great incentive to get your team fundraising! Theme selection will be held on March 1st.
