Instagram is a wonderful app – it let’s us keep in touch with our friends, let’s us post a collective scrapbook of sorts for our friends to see, and it’s a great way to… shop?
Yep! Insta-shopping is probably my new favorite thing and my bank account agrees! I, personally, love shopping at boutiques and countless small boutiques have started featuring items via their Instagram accounts to sell them through the pictures they post!
It’s super easy! A boutique will post a picture of an item they’re selling on a model, and then instruct their followers to comment on the picture with a S,M, or L for size along with the email address linked up to their PayPal account. The boutique will then send you the invoice immediately, you log on to PayPal and pay, and that’s it! Your order will ship out to you as easy as that!
The whole process has changed the way I check my Instagram because some of my favorite boutiques update their stock very frequently throughout the day. This is really changing the way consumers shop, and I find it so fascinating how the Instagram community has utilized the app for an alternative purpose!
