1. Chicago, USA – Each year, the city dyes the Chicago River a bright green to begin the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. This year, they dyed it on Saturday, March 14, 2015. It’s an annual celebration for all to enjoy as Chicagoans fill the streets to prove themselves “the greenest city in the world” for the second consecutive year.

2. London, England – London’s parade starts in Piccadilly and end in Trafalgar Square. The Square is host of all-day celebration of dancing, food, and music. The London Eye also turns green for the festival.
3. Sydney, Australia – On St. Patrick’s Day, the Sydney Opera House turns a bright green hue. Sydney is also home to the world’s second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
4. Tokyo, Japan – Tokyo began celebrating St. Patrick’s Day twenty one years ago. The area by the Harajuku Station is packed with parade-goers, floats, and marching bands.
5. Buenos Aires, Argentina – Surprisingly, Buenos Aires has one of the biggest population of Irish people in the entire world. Even though they don’t have a parade, one part of town hosts a party in the streets.
