Style Spotlight: TRIANGL Swimwear

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

TRIANGL swimwear emulates one of spring’s biggest fashion trends: sporty minimalism. From black piping, zippers and mesh, the Australian brand’s swimsuits are having a moment. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Kendall Jenner have been spotted donning the Australian brand’s garb in the past, but this year we’re predicting the suits will be blowing up your Instagram feed even more, one fashionista-friend at a time.

According to Bikini.com, TRIANGL launched in December 2012 after founders Erin Deering and Craig Ellis’ second date at the beach posed a problem for Deering. “I couldn’t find a bikini to wear,” she told site. “I ran around that morning and there was nothing that I liked, or was in my budget. Craig and I started discussing the gap in the market catering to girls like me, who wanted fashionable, quality swimwear without costing too much. And the rest is history, so they say!”

TRIANGL swimsuits are made of neoprene, which is equally as comfortable as it is cute. Plus, neoprene will allow a swimsuit to hold its shape through endless rounds of beach volleyball, swimming, surfing, tanning and more. Goodbye to saggy, wet bottoms!

The good news— these suits are available in a range of bright colors and come in a set (top and bottoms for $79-$89), but with mix or match sizes to give you the best fit. The bad news: they’re only available online at triangl.com. Orders are generally shipped in 3-7 business days and shipping costs a flat rate of $20, but believe it when we say it’s totally worth it.

Deering says inspiration for the suits come from summertime, sunshine and the beach. “Simple, classic and cool. We are influenced by anything that falls into those three categories.”
