According to CNN.com, Disney has officially announced to its stockholders that it’s going to produce a sequel to the Frozen film.
Frozen came out during the holiday season in 2013 and it was an immediate hit. According to Eonline, Frozen made a whopping $1.219 billion at the box office. The movie has grabbed the interest of both boys and girls of all ages.
This film has become the top-grossing animated film ever. Frozen won two Oscars in 2014 in the areas of Best Animated Feature Film of the Year and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song. It also won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film.
The creators of Frozen gave their audience a little taste of what’s to come with Frozen Fever. Premiering and only being showed with the new Cinderella movie that premiered in theaters on March 13th, Frozen Fever is a short film bringing the audience back to Arendale for Anna’s birthday. Her friends are determined to make her birthday celebration the best it can be, but fear that Elsa’s magical powers might ruin it.
There hasn’t been an exact date for the release of Frozen 2, but audiences can agree that the wait will totally be worth it.
