How Bryant Students Really Feel About Make-Up Classes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

As you probably all remember, we had a lot of snow days at the beginning of this semester. While they were fun at the time, some of us are starting to pay for them. Some professors are scheduling make-up classes as we near the end of the semester. This is particularly true for Monday night classes, since so many of them were classes. The University is mandating that we have make-up classes on Saturday mornings. While we understand why this is necessary, we aren’t exactly thrilled about school on the weekends…

First of all, you’ll probably spend the night before partying

Because you’re a college student and you’re invincible, right?

But then your alarm goes off at an ungodly time on Saturday morning,

And you realize you’ve made a horrible mistake.

You’re hungover, or just plain exhausted, so you’re sitting in class like this:

If you sit in the front of the room, you’re terrified your professor will notice how out of it you are.

Your head hurts and you’re guzzling water like it’s going out of style.

But if your professors are cool, they’ll be sympathetic

And if they’re REALLY cool, maybe they’ll be hungover too.

Your professor starts teaching, and you simply aren’t having it

Because all you can think about is the fact that all of your friends are still sleeping.

You’re praying to Jesus, Buddha, Zeus, and the Saint of Sleep Deprived College Students that your professor will let you out early.

You try taking notes, but then you remember it’s Saturday, so you’re like

Finally your professor lets you go, and you’re so happy you could cry.

You get back to your room around noon, only to find that your friends are just getting out of bed,

So you decided to take the nap you deserve.

And totally give yourself a pat on the back for making it through the morning. Good job, collegiettes!
