Feedit: A Mixture of Social Media and Academics

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

We love learning about new apps everyday, that is why when we came across Feedit we knew that is was unlike any other app out there. Feedit is a university-specific app available for both iOS and Android that combines academics with social media. It allows the user to connect, interact, collaborate, and explore his/her college community. By creating forums, the user can connect with other users that have the same interests or questions about college life.

Founded by CEO Ryan Cornateanu, Feedit requires a .edu email address to sign up. This requirement is what we think makes this app great, knowing that the people you are interacting with are indeed students just like you.

So how does Feedit work? Well upon signing in with your berkeley.edu email address, you will be asked to enter of all the classes you are taking in the semester. After completing this task you will be added to a group for each one of your classes. Once you have finished with the sign-up procedures you are know ready to immerse yourself into different forums where you can meet new people, upload messages and pictures, and search for other subjects/users.

Feedit is currently available in 14 California schools and will be expanding into about 150 schools nationwide by the fall semester. Her Campus-UC Berkeley invites you to download Feedit today! Go Bears!

Hi my name is Monica Morales and I am a sophomore at UC Berkeley. I am majoring in Media Studies and hope to one day work in television or for Vogue magazine. I love to travel and I love sports. I am currently a student ambassador for both Bobble water bottles and for sports app Fancred.
