This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buff State chapter.

This Campus Style Snapshot is of Maria Carr, a Fashion Design student. She went with an all-black attire for the day, featuring pops of color from her jewelry.

Your favorite part of this outfit? “My boots. I try to wear them with almost everything, slightly obessesed with them.”

Who are your style icons? “Anyone who just owns who they are as an individual. People like that are always my style icons. I mean, obviously I have some celebrities that I totally die over in what they wear but, really it’s people who love to rock their own individual look. I think it takes a lot of guts because sometimes society wants us to be so “by the book”. It’s refreshing to find those people that go against the crowd. Now I’m not saying I’m one of those out there gals, but I always try to tweak things in my outfits just a little.”

How would you describe your style: “It’s like a weird combination of things that catch my eye, items that not everyone would typicaly wear, basic garments, and black. i also enjoy being able to express a little bit about me through what I wear. I never have a solid description of what my style really is, mostly because I don’t know hahaha I consider my style to be the Maria J. Carr style because it’s usually a bunch of different things. Not just one look.”
