Remember when Maroon 5 came to Pittsburgh in March? Most do and most Point Park students remember sophomore, Angela Thomas famously getting a picture and meeting the sexy lead singer, Adam Levine. The picture went viral and was even posted on Point Park’s social media sites! The Sports, Arts, and Entertainment management major has been attending concerts and meeting celebrities her whole life and shows no signs of stopping either. You want to meet Nick Joans? She has done that multiple times. What about Britney Spears’ sister and Zoey 101 star, Jamie Lynn Spears? Yep, Angela has met her too. Angela has been to over 150 concerts and has met countless celebrities. It is her passion and is the reason she choose Sports, Arts, and Entertainment management as her major.  Angela also lights up Point Park University’s campus with her warming smile, great fashion sense and determination to be a successful student. Angela, Point Park loves you.  

HC: Why did you choose Point Park?

AT: “I chose Point Park because of the Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management program. I also love the urban feel of the campus!”

HC: What’s the best thing about your concert life?

AT: “The best thing about my concert life is getting to see my favorite bands and musicians frequently. I’m truly the happiest when I am at a concert. There is no better feeling than being surrounded by other fans singing the lyrics to all of your favorite songs.”

HC: Who is/are the nicest celebrities you have met?

AT: “The nicest celebrities I have met are by far the Jonas brothers. They are so welcoming, friendly, and down to earth. Definitely some of the most genuine guys.”

HC: So, we heard you like Nick Jonas?

AT: “Yes, I absolutely love Nick Jonas! He is my favorite.”

HC: What do you hope to get out of your major, Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management?

AT: “My dream job would be anything in the music industry. I just want to be surrounded by music and concerts forever. I would say if I could pick any job, it would be to work directly for a band or musician.”

HC: What’s your concert schedule for the summer?

AT: Here’s my concert schedule! The Maine, Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, Taylor Swift, TSS, Train, Fall Out Boy, Warped, Shania Twain, Christina Perri, Kelly Clarkson, Jake Miller, R5, Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Hunter Hayes!

Brendan Dazen was born June 10th, 1994 in Pittsburgh, Pa. As a child he particapted in such activities as soccer, dance, theater, baseball, and singing. He grew up to love theater and music so much. He even landed a "Best Newcomer" award for Peters Township High School's theater department . He now attends Point Park University for Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. He wanted to become a member of HerCampus because he wanted to share his thoughts and ideas of pop culture, music, and fashion with his campus, and hopefully other schools. Brendan has a strong interset in Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, sunflowers, fashion, adventutres, photography, concerts, and dance. He hopes in the future to be a production manager.

Lexie Mikula is senior Mass Communications major at Point Park University from Harrisburg, PA. Lexie held the position of Campus Correspondent and contributing editor-in-chief of HC Point Park from May 2014 - May 2016. In addition to social journalism and media, she enjoys rainy days in the city, dogs with personality, watching The Goonies with her five roommates (and HC teammates!), and coffee... copious amounts of coffee.
