Hey Girl, You Deserve a Study Break!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Siena chapter.

Welcome to Finals Week Siena, we know you are all studying hard to ace your finals. This next week is going to be tough, but we will all get through it successfully and have the summer to celebrate!  We’re here with some ideas for fun and functional study breaks to help you recharge as you study.

Tidy Up!

It can be hard to focus in a messy room.  As a study break, start tidying things up and begin a little packing.  You’ll be moving out in the next couple of days, so help yourself out by getting started packing.  Crank up some tunes and make a half hour of cleaning a fun way to clear your room and your mind!

Go for a Walk!

This week is expected to bring nice weather, so break out of the library for a lap around campus with your friends.  Walk by the athletic fields to catch part of a game or scope out the new building you’ll be living in next semester and enjoy some fresh air to recharge and refuel.

Work in a Workout!

Exercise is one of the best ways to relive stress and refresh after a long study session.  Whether you take it to the gym or break out a yoga mat in your room, getting active is a fun and productive study break!  Check out this article by fellow HC Siena team member to work in a workout to your busy schedule.

Get Dessert!

Plan an hour break with your girls at Casey’s to get milkshakes one night.  Catch up with each other – chances are you haven’t seen each other all day and what better way to dish on all the latest news than with a milkshake!

End your night with some Late-Night TV!

A favorite of mine, I love ending my night watching Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.  Catch up with the latest current events, see your favorite celebrities play hysterical games, and have a good laugh to inspire sweet dreams before another long day of studying.  This week, check out Robert Downey Jr., Tori Kelly, Kristen Wiig, and Scarlett Johansson on The Tonight Show.
