Here at Her Campus, the only thing keeping us going through exams is the thought of fleeing the country afterwards. After all, we definitively deserve a break after months of cramming. And the most exciting part of any holiday? Shopping for it, of course! So whether you are heading for a city break, backpacking somewhere far away or just relaxing on the beach with your girlfriends / significant other, check out our guide to staying stylish.
European City Break
European cities are fashion hubs so make a statement by channelling your inner Parisian with a classic look. Pair some tailored peg legs with a Breton striped top or a turtleneck, and accessorise with a wide brimmed hat or a statement necklace and some red lipstick. This outfit can take you from day to night giving you freedom to explore the city for hours on end. It is also great for Europe’s notoriously unpredictable weather.
Backpacking Holiday
From full moon parties to riding elephants, spending your summer making up for the ‘gap yah’ you missed out on will definitely be an amazing experience. But limited luggage space doesn’t mean you can’t stay stylish. You’ll need something practical and durable, so try pairing some relaxed patterned trousers or bright high waisted shorts with a plain top. Make sure you add in some comfy sandals and plenty of nice headbands to disguise your unwashed hair!
Beach Holiday
Sunbathing on the beach or by the pool for a week is the perfect way to escape the pressures of deadlines and coursework. Make things even more relaxing by keeping your packing simple – light playsuits are easy to slip on over your bikini, as are kimonos. And of course, you’ll need the perfect swimwear. We’re loving cut out looks at the moment such as these from Asos.
