It’s a girl!

The Duchess of Cambridge, a.k.a. St Andrews graduate Kate, has safely given birth to her second child at 08.34 BST. The Duke (Wills) was present at the birth, which took place in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London. The new baby is now fourth in line to the British throne.

The name of the baby princess has yet to be announced, however the bookies are backing Alice as the favourite. Other names under speculation include Charlotte, Elizabeth and Victoria.

The new baby is a younger sibling to Prince George, who was born in July 2013.

Congratulations to St Andrew’s’ most famous graduates!
