Her Campus is proud to present our very first female Campus Cutie! Meet senior Olivia Braund, from Seattle, Washington. Olivia is a marketing major and finance minor, so look for her dazzling baby blues at Daniels and around campus!

Her Campus: C&G or The Border?OB: It depends which ones more crowded, but I’d probably have to say C&G!

HC: What advice would you have given the freshman-year you?OB: Don’t freak out so much – everything always works out the way it should. And I’d probably say, “learn to stop losing all your stuff. Now.”

HC: What was your dream job as kid?OB: A wedding planner.

HC: What are your post-grad plans?OB: Well I’m traveling Europe with my best friends. After that, I’m moving back to Seattle! You can just put, “TBD.”

HC: Favorite song to belt in the car?OB: “Listen” by Beyonce.

HC: What is your online shopping go-to?OB: I would probably have to say Nordstrom or ShopBop – Amazon Prime shipping.

HC: What is your avorite DU memory?OB: Even still today, freshman year when the lacrosse team played at Mile High stadium and my best friend from home was still visiting. That whole day was just perfect!

HC: What are your words to live by?OB: “Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back, and reasons to stay” by the Dalai Lama. Cheesy, I know.

HC: What are your pet peeves?OB: My biggest pet peeve is when people try to sing songs they don’t know the lyrics too. Also, people who talk with a lot of spit in their mouth – I’m very observant of people’s mannerisms. Oh! And not enough Oreo in my Blizzards!

HC: Do you have a role model?OB: My Mom. She is always challenging me to be a better person. She’s always there for me and she’s also always there for everyone else. And she works her a** off.

HC: Can you explain the “Maggie” photos you post?OB: Maggie is short for my middle name, Marguerite, so my family called me that since I was born… for whatever reason. When I was little, I was obsessed with dairy queen and I used to, more or less, force/beg my dad to take me every single day and I would just eat waffles and milkshakes for snacks. I was just this chubby, weird kid. Maggie is sort of my alter ego.

Sophmore marketing major and sustainabilty minor at DU!
Lindsey Miller is a University of Denver sophomore majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Professional Writing. She is the campus correspondent of Her Campus DU, which she co-founded in March 2015. Lindsey can see herself taking her career in many directions, but of course hopes she will be writing wherever and whatever that may be.
