5 Things To Thank Your Best Friend For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

1. Thank you for showing me my worth.

Whenever I don’t feel good enough, thank you for showing me that I am. I am worth more than that stupid boy. I am worth more than that stupid test grade. I am worth more than some nasty remarks. While I am still learning to believe in myself, it is a whole lot easier when I have you to encourage me.

2. Thank you for listening to my rants, no matter how stupid they are.

Thank you for listening to me go on and on about stupid things, but also thank you for listening to me when things get serious. No matter what the issue is, you are always there to listen and talk it out. Even when I don’t shut up, and you give me the same advice I should have listened to a week ago, you never give up on me.

3. Thank you for the little things that you do.

Thank you for telling me I look great in that outfit, and thank you for making sure I had enough time to eat a real meal that day. From kind gestures to just simply checking up on me, it makes me feel loved.

4. Thank you for turning so many ordinary moments into extraordinary moments.

No moment is ever ordinary with us. A simple trip to our favorite coffee shop turns into a girl’s out affair. A night turns into a moment we will laugh about, even when we are too old to remember the details. No matter what we are doing, we always are up to something fun and exciting.

5. Thank you for being yourself.

Without you being yourself, I wouldn’t have the best friend I have today. Who you are is a part of me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
