Forget Tinder—Here’s How to Find Your Soulmate

Are you sick of swiping right or left? Tired of using apps to essentially play a digital version of “Hot or Not”? Looking for something more meaningful than a late night hookup?

Then this new website may be just the thing for you. The way it works is simple: you answer eight questions and based on your responses, you’re matched with your soulmate. Sound too good to be true? Well it might be, but 8^8 is claiming just that—with your personalized responses to eight simple questions, they locate someone who has the exact same set of answers (supposedly the chance of this is 1 in 16,777,216) and connect you with that person. Granted, there are several flaws with this theory: what if the person is a phishing scam; what if the person is your 60-year-old gym coach; or most likely of all, what if your so-called soulmate lives halfway across the world?

We admit it’s not a perfect setup, but our hopeless romantic side can’t help but be intrigued by this website. Statistically speaking, there is a very slim chance that any of us will ever find our soulmate in the great big universe, so if this website really could help two people who are truly meant to be together unite, we’re all for it.

According to 8^8, the more people who participate, the more likely it is that matches will actually be made. So it just might be worth it to give this a go—after all, it’s only eight questions!
