Have you ever wondered what it’s like to know a guy that truly has it all? I am pleased to introduce Robert Perales ’17 as this week’s Campus Cutie. Robert not only has cool moves and the brain to prove that he’s one cool dude, but also has a heart of pure gold.

Her Campus ISU: What made you choose to dance at ISU?
Robert Perales: My senior year, I choreographed a piece that got selected for state. Sara Semonis, the director of the ISU Dance Program, came to my high school to see it and suggested that I audition. I just got kind of lucky I guess.
HC ISU: What is your favorite thing about dance at ISU?
RP: It’s nice to be able to do something outside of the traditional classroom setting and move in ways that make me actually think. Like what the movement means and how it relates to us as people.
HC ISU: Being a junior, what do you know now that you wish you knew freshman year?
RP: What people think about you really doesn’t matter and basing your decisions off of people’s opinions is the silliest thing. If you don’t like it and not have fun with what you’re doing, why do it?
HC ISU: What do you like most about ATO?
RP: The people (in my fraternity) have made me feel comfortable as a gay male in Greek life because it’s not something you see everyday. Everyone in ATO makes you feel like you serve a purpose. They’re just great people.
HC ISU: Favorite movie?
RP: Halloween. I love horror movies. But I also love a good rom-com so I’ve got to go with While You Were Sleeping, too.
HC ISU: Cheese or Chocolate?
RP: Cheese all the way, especially string cheese.
HC ISU: If you could have dinner, dessert and drinks with any three people, who would you choose?
RP: Dinner with Bill Clinton (he’s kind of hot), dessert with Brittney Spears and drinks with Miley Cyrus.
HC ISU: Guilty Pleasure?
RP: Listening to 70’s music playlists on Spotify while I go for runs.
