What are you involved with on campus? I’m usually in operas, shows or small projects that the music department puts on year round, so I’m usually never seen because I’m always either practicing or in rehearsal. This semester I’m in three small operas. Also, this year I’m helping run the Italian club with my friends Callie and Emma! Holla!

What are your post-grad plans? Grad school. I’m starting to look at a bunch of schools already. My hope is to go to a school near a major opera house, so places like Chicago, New York,  L.A., Houston. It’s a little ambitious, but whatever. Also, I’m ready for that city life.

Who is your celebrity crush? Jessica Alba! Done. Just kidding. Also John Mayer. I love him! I know he can be a d*ck, but he’s crazy talented and I love his music. I would marry either of them in a heartbeat.

What’s your dream vacation? The moon. Am I allowed to say that? Oh well. Anywhere that’s not Earth pretty much. I want to go to space so bad!

Dog or cat? I’m pretty much an all-around animal lover (except pet birds because they suck), but between a dog and cat I would definitely pick a dog. They’re man’s best friend for a reason. Sometimes I think I like dogs more than people.

If you were granted three wishes from a genie, what would they be? I’m assuming I have to abide by genie rules, so sadly I can’t wish for more wishes or for love. One — be able to speak any language in the world. Two — be able to turn back time. Three — be able to read minds. My friends always think I’m messed up for the last one.

What’s your favorite college memory? Studying abroad in Germany. That is one of the best memories of my life so far. I made some unexpected friends on that trip who I’ll probably be friends with forever. I’ll always look back on that trip and laugh at all the reckless things we did and all the crazy adventures we had.

What is your main source of inspiration? Music. It might sound cliché, but I could never live without music. My friends think I’m crazy because I always have a song in my head that I’m singing to myself and they always look at me like, “What are you doing?” I don’t think there’s any other artform that can do what music does. That’s why I’m dedicating my life to it.
