1. Awkward pickup lines. They’re corny and lame, but it seems like every guy on Tinder is fond of opening with some outlandish remark intended to make you laugh. Admire his comedic side and have a good chuckle to yourself.
2. Boring conversation. It’s hard to get to know someone when you only matched with them based on purely superficial circumstances, so conversation can sometimes lull or revert to the basic, “Where are you from? What do you major in? What year are you?” type conversations.
3. Getting asked on a date by someone you barely know. Under NO circumstances should you ever feel obligated to meet a Tinder guy if you don’t know him very well. Make smart decisions, and make sure your friends know where you’re going, who you’re meeting, and what time you expect to be back. Going on a date can lead to something great, but always have your personal safety in mind!
4. Awkwardly swiping right on one of your guy friends and having a good laugh about it. You’ve probably come across one of your friends or a guy who sits next to you in class and never know if you should swipe right or left.
5. Receiving mean messages. Some guys are just plain rude and tactless. Like Taylor Swift says, just shake it off!
