You vent to one another, chill all of the time, laugh at each other, exchange advice, and basically share a brain. Now, you think you’re ready to take the next step and that’s ok! Here’s why:

1. You already know each other’s embarrassing habits.

If they’re really your friend, you haven’t held anything back. He knows you burp a lot. She knows you’re clumsy. The best part about it is they still love you! By the time you’re official any and every quirk they have should be expected.

2. You have all the information about their exes.

Real friends come to each other with real problems. Chances are you’ve vented about an ex or two. This is a good thing! Now you know what to do and what not to do and who to keep your eye on in your blooming relationship.

3. The trust is already there.

One of the hardest parts in a relationship can come from lack of communication. Maybe it’s because you’re scared to say how you really feel or you’re not sure how they will react. This shouldn’t be a problem if you guys have already established a bond pre-relationship. Nothing is off limits because you were friends first and friends trust each other!

4. They get cuter with time.

It’s scientifically proven that that the longer you know someone, the more attractive they become. Things should only get better from this point. They were already your friend, now comes the sweet honeymoon stage where everything they do is the cutest thing ever even if it annoyed you before.

5. The sexual tension had to time to grow.

Depending on how long you’ve been friends (the kind without the benefits) this has just been the longest game of foreplay you’ve ever had. This doesn’t mean go have sex as soon as you get into a relationship. It also doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Proceed at your own discretion. You’ve waited this long.
