It’s that time of the year! The time when classes start and so does fall. Are you asking yourself: “what can I wear for Victoria weather that is not a rain jacket?” Trends come and go, and you may think you need to replace your wardrobe. The only thing you need is to play with colors, styles and use a little bit of imagination. Here  are the latest pieces for back to school! Remember: dress to impress.

1. Plaid

Plaid is a look that never goes out of style. You can wear plaid shirts, dresses even skirts. This look is casual but at the same time provides a cool vibe. If you want to get the sassy look with plaid wear it with red lipstick.

2. Skinny Jeans

There is something about the style of jeans. We will never get tired of these guys. Pair them with any tank top! Whether colourful, ripped or just any  denim style, you will rock them.

3. Denim Jacket

A denim jacket is definitely a must in any wardrobe. You can wear it with almost anything from tank tops to dresses.  It’s a girl’s best friend.

4. Riding Boots

These types of boots are ideal for fall and winter. You can wear them with dresses and jeans. They give a classic and chic look and believe me everyone loves them. These boots are made for walking.

5. Beanie Hat

The beanie is one of the only hats you can wear in most of the seasons. You can add a little bit of fashion by having details on it. For example beanies with prints on them describing how you feel is a must for the season. If you want a more romantic style maybe jewellery on the beanie is the answer for you.

Femi Tunde-Oladepo is in her final year at the University of Victoria where she is studying at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business. After her undergrad, Femi hopes to read law and master French, Spanish and Italian. She is an active volunteer in her community and enjoys working with the Rotaract Club on campus. Having filled numerous notebooks as a child, Femi adores writing — especially short stories. She likes to dance (spontaneously), listen to all genres of music, laugh loudly and be the sassiest person in a room. In her spare time, Femi likes to window shop online, go for runs and reorganize spaces. One day, Femi hopes to perfect the art of soft pretzels.
