It is a very difficult thing when you lose someone close to you. You feel like your entire world has gone dark. It’s okay to cry, to stay away in your room for a while and be alone.
Give Yourself Time to Grieve
Acknowledge that you are in pain. When you sit around and act like everything is okay, it makes it harder to cope. Remember those good times that you had. Look at pictures, old messages and listen to musi that reminds you of the good times you’ve had with this person. It’ll help you feel much better.Â
Talk To People
If they knew the person you’re grieving, you all can talk about good times and other memories. If they didn’t, you can share with your other friends what kind of person he or she was.Â
Find Time by Yourself to ReflectÂ
Go for a walk or if you’re religious, go to church and pray. Do whatever you can to make yourself feel better.Â
Everyone handles grief differently. One thing I know is that no matter what, you will always miss the person. You may have moments when you think of them and you start crying. Let go and cry it out.Â
Take your time and know that you are not alone.Â
