In college “me time” can seem lonely, not very important, and not as enjoyable as spending time with the girls, but “me time” is essential in keeping your life in balance! Here are five ways to make your “me time” a more enjoyable experience.
1. Find a hobby you enjoy
Whether it’s yoga, painting, going on a bike ride, or simply reading a book, try to find something you enjoy doing alone!
2. Put the Phone away
I know, did you actually do something if you didn’t post it on your snapchat story? To get the most out of your “me time” I suggest putting the phone away and just enjoying the beauty focusing completely on yourself. I promise you will be okay!
3. Pick the perfect scenary
To really enjoy your “me time” I think being in the right place is important. You need to be in a place with good energy that can help distract you from the everyday stresses. I enjoy painting in the park!
4. Don’t try so hard
Trying to fit “me time” into your schedule shouldn’t be an added stress, it should be something you look forward to doing. It doesn’t have to be some big event every time! Simply putting your phone away can be a great way to enjoy some “me time” without going all out.
