As fall approaches, summer and warm weather are fading away. With the warm weather disappearing away from us, so is concert season.
On September 16th at Stage AE, Â Of Monsters & Men, returned to Pittsburgh. The concert they put on blew the crowd away with every note they sang and every chord they hit. Even their opening act, Oh Land, connected the crowd. Oh Land is a group that originates from Denmark and is touring with OM&M. Their pop/alternative songs made the crowd sway even though most people did not know the words.
When Of Monsters & Men finally took the stage, the crowd surged into excitement and sang along to almost all of their songs; some from their new album and some from their old album. This Icelandic indie folk/pop group formed their group back in 2010 and has been gaining success ever since. They have been nominated for  MTV Video Music awards and MTV Europe Music Awards as well. You can tell that they play with absolute passion, emotion, and style from their hearts and sing with their souls. A lot bands or artists that you see live normally do not seem like they are good without auto tune or do not even put in any energy, but this band blew everyone’s mind with their sound, energy, and voices.
The band opened with Thousand Eyes from their new album and set the mood for the whole concert. You can tell that the band really fed off each other’s energy, making the show fun for everyone including themselves. The drummer was having a a blast and everyone in the audience could tell. They even took the time to tell us how Beautiful our city was. The lightening throughout the show was spot on and intensified the show. When the band played popular hits like Mountain Sound, King and Lionheart, and Little Talks, the crowd including myself went absolutely insane, belting out the lyrics we had heard over and over again. Being aroundstrangers but who shared the same passion for this band sent a positive energy throughout the crowd.
If Of Monsters & Men comes to a town near you or when they come back to Pittsburgh, you MUST check them out. Make it a date night with a significant other or your pals or even go alone if you have to! Â I can promise you will not be disappointed and you will listen to their songs the entire way home, belting out every lyric!
