The campus celebrity we’ve chosen for this week has had huge success throughout her four years at Pace. Liza Donor, a senior, is the President of Kappa Delta, one of the national sororities on campus and has had several internships that have given her a solid resume! She also happens to be such a sweetheart so be sure to find her and maybe get an autograph or two because this girl is going places! She’s also my G-Big so I am super excited to feature her this week!

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus? “Federal reserve challenge research team, economics society, alpha lambda delta honor society, (was on) Greek council, and the rotor act club.”
What is your favorite thing about being the President of Kappa Delta? “I love to be able to watch my ideas influence the experiences of my sisters. I have seen so many women grow as a result of experiences KD has been able to offer them and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch young ladies flourish into contributing, responsible global citizens. Watching a program or initiative I contributed to make someone smile makes everything I do worth it!”
What internships have you taken? “I have interned at donorschoose.org, a nonprofit helping out resources in needy school; Cosmetic Executive Women, a nonprofit helping individuals in the cosmetic industry connect with seasoned professionals and build their careers; Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, a global asset management firm where I assisted a financial advisor effectively allocate her clients’ financial resources, and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where I worked with a team of three financial advisors to build retirement nest eggs and plan charitable giving for their clients. I started out taking any internship I could get which really helped me cultivate the skill set the financial firms I wanted to work with were looking for!”
Where do you see yourself in five years? “I would like to be working with financial markets and securities as either an analyst or an associate in the city. I also hope to stay involved with kappa delta with my chapter here at pace and with the alumnae chapter.”
What is your favorite memory from your years here at Pace? “Too many to choose from!! One of my favorite days was KD’s shamrock event my freshman year. My pledge class had just been initiated and I remember all of the older girls who I admired so much were there, and they were joking around and laughing with us and I got to know them, and a lot of people from the other organizations. It was such an awesome time doing something good for the community and having fun with my friends!”
