It is a well-known fact: College students are broke. We spend money on food, fun, and textbooks. So when businesses offer college discounts, we are all over that. But sometimes we don’t always know about the businesses that offer a discount. Which is why I created a list of the places that offer discounts for UNCW students:

Craving Tex-Mex?

Islands Fresh Mex Grill on Racine Drive has $1 tacos after 5 p.m. 

 

Need to blow off some steam?

Defy gravity has college night. It’s every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring your student ID and you can save $4 on an hour flight ticket. 

 

Car broke down?

Midas Automobile Repair and Service on Princess Place Drive offers 10% off for college students.

 

Sick of your wardrobe?

Old Navy on South College Road offers 10% off to college students.

 

Feel like exercising your inner kid?

Jungle Rapids on Oleander Drive offers a discount ($6 + tax) on go karts and mini golf. This only applies Monday through Thursday.

 

Need to stock your fridge?

Harris Teeter on South College Road offers a 10% discount to college students.

Lowe’s Food on South College Road offers a 10% discount off your entire purchase on Sundays.

 

Too tired to cook?

Brixx Pizza on Main Street gives 10% discounts to students. 

The Little Dipper has Wednesday ladies’ night, which lets women (sorry, boys) get cheese and chocolate for $9 per person for the table to share. 

 

Trying to get into Yoga?

Harmony Yoga on Oleander Drive has $10 off classes for students.
