Now that we’ve entered the month of October, Halloween is approaching! My favorite part of Halloween (with chocolate at a very close #2) are costumes! I love seeing all the awesome costumes that everyone wears to celebrate Halloween.

Every Halloween, there are always certain costumes that are super trendy and worn by lots of trick-or-treaters and party goers. Here are my predictions for the most popular Halloween costumes this year:

Popular for 2015:

Donald Trump (and other presidential candidates)

One of the loudest and most well-known candidates, Donald Trump is sure to be seen at Halloween this year. Other presidential candidates will likely be seen too, and this can also include Kayne West.

Inside Out

Disney/Pixar’s newest film was enjoyed by millions of movie goers over the summer. Not only was the movie popular, but the characters are a fun choice for those who like to wear colorful clothing and/or makeup for Halloween.

Owen from Jurassic World

Chris Pratt’s role in the remake of a classic film will also be widespread this Halloween.

Mad Max: Fury Road

A summer blockbuster with strong female leads, this movie offers plenty of inspiration for Halloween costumes this year.

Left Shark

Definitely the most remembered phenomenon from Super XLIX, and definitely making an appearance this year on October 31.

Returing from Last Year:

Marvel Universe

Superheroes and supervillians are a timeless Halloween tradition, but with the outpouring of movies from Marvel over the past few years (most recently were Avengers 2: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man), characters such as Thor, Loki, Captain America, Ultron, Hulk, and many many more will be seen everywhere on Halloween night.

Star Wars

Another timeless Halloween theme, coupled with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18, will put Star Wars costumes towards the front in popularity this year.

Minions

These adorable henchmen have their own movie now! Get ready for more mischevious minions this Halloween!

Frozen

Great movie, great music, great characters, and great outfits! I don’t think anyone will “let it go” anytime soon :)

Hunger Games

The book and film series is still extremely popular, not to mention that Mockingjay: Part II comes out on November 20!

Even though these costumes will be super prevalent this Halloween, that doesn’t mean you can’t go as any of these things! Don’t feel held back to channel your inner Katniss Everdeen or Left Shark–you do you this Halloween!
