Alas, October is finally here and with it comes the commonplace jack-o-lantern and bowls of fun-sized candy. American Horror Story
This show is sure to put you in a scary sort of feeling. From haunted murder houses to carnival freak shows, AHS is likely to send some chills down your spine. It might also make you think twice before checking into hotels any time soon.

Scream Queens
Scream Queens is a show that follows the haunting of a sorority house. Starring Emma Roberts, Lea Michele and Ariana Grande among others, this show is perfect for anyone who may be trying to decide whether or not to rush spring semester. With a bloodthirsty murderer on the loose, this show is bound to be a killer addition to your weekly watchlist.

Teen Wolf
Lions and tigers and werewolves oh my! This MTV original series has been known to give its watchers their fair share of blood, guts and supernatural occurrences. This show delves into the darker aspects of Japanese mythology, Druidism  and scientific experimentation. Chock full of shippable romance, shirtless men and action packed foggy fight scenes, Teen Wolf may make you think twice before trick-or-treating on a Halloween with full moon.

Supernatural
If you’re into demon hunting brothers and a few return trips from Hell, Supernatural is probably your best bet for Halloween fun. A whole series of betrayals, bothersome ghouls and brotherly dependence are in store as soon as you hit play. It might also make you wonder if that bump in the night is actually just the wind.

The Vampire Diaries
There’s no need to fear, The Vampire Diaries is here. If you’re thirsty for some quality TV drama set in the supernatural realm, this is your perfect Halloween lead in. Witches, vampires run amuck in all their ghoulish glory and are certainly going to leave you wondering whether your boyfriend sparkles in the sunlight. Oh wait, that’s Twilight. My bad.

The Walking Dead
If you plan on spending Halloween preparing for a zombie apocalypse, you might want to take a few pointers from The Walking Dead. Think of it as your own personal “how to” guide, but courtesy of AMC instead of Wikihow. This show will give you a low down on zombie combat maneuvers, the telltale signs of zombiefication and how to survive (for the most part). It might also help you determine where you stand on the whole “brains vs. brawn” debate.
