Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Fernando Arabia! This sweet and smart junior is also super friendly; so don’t be afraid to start a conversation!

Name: Fernando ArabiaYear: 2017Major: Mechanical EngineeringHometown: San Juan, Puerto RicoRelationship Status: Single

HC: Puerto Rico is far away and much warmer than Connecticut! What made you choose Fairfield?

FA: It’s a long story, but in short; I visited here senior year of high school, stayed with a senior from Puerto Rico, went to a huge party on a Wednesday and fell in love with the school.

HC: What is one thing people don’t know about you?

FA: I have a scuba license in deep ocean water, open water, and one in open water rescue. I also spear fish.

HC: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you bring with you?

FA: I would go to Panama with my best friend so we could go fishing.

HC: If you could marry any celebrity, who would it be?

FA: It took me a minute but Beyoncé, easy.

HC: Outside the classroom, where can we find you on campus?

FA: The townhouses or Rafferty field playing soccer.

HC: What do you look for in a girl?

FA: Eyes, I’m a sucker for eyes.

HC: What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?

FA: Convincing my friend Sara to throw plates down the stairs at a party.

HC: You have to take a girl on a first date on campus, what do you do?

FA: What?! On campus?! I’m guessing the Levee because where else am I supposed to go?

HC: If you could be any food, what would you be?

FA: I would be bistec and cebollado because it is the most delicious plate in the world and it reminds me of home.

HC: If you could add any course to the Fairfield curriculum, what would it be?

FA: Surfing or something involving water sports.
