HC: What compelled you start Dogs of Boston on Instagram?

-We both really love dogs and we miss our dogs back at home.

HC: Were you surprised by how fast you gained followers?

-Not really, since we did a ton of advertising throughout the various residence halls and were very persistent with it, we expected to gain an audience quick.

HC: How exactly did you advertise?

-We hand wrote flyers on flashcards and slid them under the doors of Suffolk’s Modern and 10 West Residence Halls.

HC: What do you see for the future of Dogs of Boston?

-We hope to start a dog walking club and to eventually turn it into a business such as selling dog apparel and Dogs of Boston merchandise.

HC: Do you think/ hope your Instagram will inspire more students to start a dog or animal Instagram’s in the future?

Yes, we hope to inspire others to share photos of their favorite animals.

HC: How can students contribute to Dogs of Boston?

-You can follow us and send your user submissions to our direct message for a chance for us to post your dog photo.
