1. SpeakersWhether you’re showering, getting ready for a night out with friends, or just in your room doing homework, it’s always better when there’s music. Bluetooth speakers are a must. The Bob Marley “Liberate” speakers are a personal favorite of mine. They’re loud, last a long time before needing to be charged, and have a sleek design.

2. Selfie StickLet’s be honest, the selfie stick is 2014’s greatest invention. They’re completely necessary and handy for those squad pictures you take at beach parties or concerts. Best of all, they’re really cheap and can be purchased almost anywhere.

3. Portable ChargerNowadays we can’t go an hour without our cell phones and to prevent separation anxiety, we need a portable charger. These are especially helpful for the times when you’re out and away from outlets for a while. These can be costly if you want one that will last, but you can definitely find cheap ones that still get the job done.

4. FanI invested in this Dyson fan. It’s costly, but I have no regrets. There’s nothing worse than those hot and sticky dorm rooms. This accessory is 10x better than an ordinary fan because it puffs cold air like an AC instead of spinning around warm air.

5. Quirky CordiesQuirky Cordies is my favorite tech purchase this year. How many times do you find yourself hanging upside down off of your bed searching for a charger? Always. This little guy will hold them all in place so that they are always right there at your disposal.

6. KeurigCollege equals coffee. Which is why my Keurig is my prized possession. Not only does it make coffee, but you can also make hot tea, iced tea, hot chocolate and cider. The best part is that it saves you money. You can buy a box of K Cups that will make you 20 cups of coffee instead of paying an exorbitant amount per cup at Starbucks.

7.  BlenderAnother food necessity is the NutriBullet. My roommates and I keep frozen fruit in our micro-fridge instead of using fresh fruits, which becomes costly and will go bad overtime. We make smoothies before class or after workouts and they always hit the spot. It even comes in handy when making delicious mixed drinks on the weekend. Bonus!

8. Laptop AccessoriesMy newest favorite tech accessory trend is decorating my MacBook. First, I get a hard shell case from Amazon. They are totally cheap and there are plenty of colors to select from. Then I like to go to RedBubble.com and find the cutest, coolest stickers to completely cover and decorate the case with. The stickers are great conversation starters with strangers and they give your laptop a little personality.

9. Card Holder Phone CaseI lose everything. Occasionally my phone goes missing, but 9/10 times it’s in my hand. An ID holder case is the perfect solution. Instead of searching my backpack for my Stag Card to get into Barone, or bringing a bag to go out with on the weekends, I just bring my cell and safely store my Stag Card inside the case. It’s a lifesaver.
