Spice Up Your Life: The Do’s and Don’ts of Pumpkin Spice

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

Do: The Pumpkin Spice Latte

Who cares if people label you as basic for indulging in this tasty beverage. It’s delicious, it tastes like fall and it’s the Pumpkin Spice OG.

Don’t: Pumpkin Spice Condoms

Although it is still debated whether or not this is an actual product for your consuming pleasure (pun intended), this is definitely a don’t. It probably won’t scare off your man (because duh) but you should probably keep those basic tendencies out of the bedroom.

Do: Pumpkin Spice Candles

Girls love the smell of fall. Pumpkins smell like fall. Therefore, girls love the smell of pumpkin. A pumpkin scented candle can add that hint of fall your apartment so desperately craves while creating a well-lit and inviting atmosphere.

Don’t: Pumpkin Spice Vodka

The last thing you want is to create an aversion to all things pumpkin. It may very well go down smooth, but I highly doubt it retains its pumpkin deliciousness coming back up. Put down the bottle.

Do: Pumpkin Pie

I feel like this one speaks for itself. The gateway food to all things pumpkin spiced!
