22 Reasons to Love Yourself As Told By Spongebob Squarepants

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

I don’t think I’m alone here when I say that I’ve been feeling a little down in the dumps lately. Between my jobs, internships and other personal issues that have been pulling me in multiple frustrating directions, I haven’t been feeling that great about myself. To be honest, I needed a self confidence booster, and what better way to fix that than making endless Spongebob Squarepants references forever and always?

For those of you who have been having a rough week or even a rough semester in general, here’s a very condensed list of reasons why you should absolutely love your awesome self!

1. You were on time (more or less) to your classes today.

2. You found the perfect buddy to suffer through your 8 a.m. with.

3. Girl, your mascara was on point today.

4. But then again, you looked great without it anyway… let that natural beauty shine!

5. You’re a strong-willed, passionate woman with your eye on the prize.

6.  You made it through your first round of exams like a boss.

7. You know how to throw the best parties.

8. Plus, you dance like no one’s watching (FTK). You’re just that cool.

9. You’re baller enough to go to Penn State, the #1 school for recruiters. Don’t let those projects and exams get you down. At the end of the day, all your hard work will nab you that dream job you’ve had your eye on!

10. All those squats finally paid off (yay)!

11. That being said, feel free to indulge in your favorite foods every now and then. You deserve it!

12. You scored tickets to one of the most epic PSU football games of the year.

13. Your unique taste in music is like no other.

14. It may be difficult sometimes, but you try your best to love and accept who you are. After all, you’re definitely worth it.

15. You may not have all the answers right now, but that’s okay. Most of us don’t. Just ask the magic conch!

16. You know what? I think you’ve earned a day off and maybe a little shopping spree after all the extra hours you’ve been putting in at work!

17. Even though you get a little too emotional sometimes, it’s all because you’re a super caring and genuine friend.

18. You’re one smart cookie (see what I did there?)

19. You signed up for way too many organizations this semester… but you always get it done.

20. You have “imagination!”

21. You never take life too seriously.

22. And lastly, you’re just an all-around super interesting person who has lots of people that care about you. Get on with your bad self, collegiette. And remember…
