Do you spend way too much time flipping between different social media sites to keep tabs on all of the celebrities you adore? Well, The BuzzBug is your one way ticket into the online lives of your favorite celebrities without the hassle of scrolling through and switching back and forth between apps.
The website compiles celebrity posts from Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Tumblr and puts them all in one convenient location. Celebrities have their own pages and you can make compiled lists of your faves, or follow the sites pre-made “BuzzLists” that compile more than one celebrity together, say the “Pretty Little Liars” cast or the One Direction guys, allowing you to see all of their interactions at once. There is no better way to study up on the most recent twitter wars and headlines. The separate social media sites are all linked so that you can retweet and favorite whatever you’d like directly from the site! So convenient. Along with the social feeds, there are featured articles, like “instaroundups”—a bunch of instagram posts pulled from different celebrities—all based on various topics or events, as well as exclusive Q&A’s with celebs themselves!
The BuzzBug was founded by Ricki Berger, a former Seventeen Magazine photo researcher. Amazed that nothing like it existed already and coming from work that was highly saturated in celebrity content, she knew that this type of site was perfect for the social media-crazed age we live in. She decided to build it herself by drawing inspiration from the top teen magazine sites in the game today.
Though the site only launched less than a year ago, it’s en route to take over social media. They’ve done exclusive interviews with Chloe Lukasiak and Alli Simpson— NBD — and when they are retweeted by either one of those girls The BuzzBug gets noticed by around one million possible viewers, insane! That’s the glory of a startup in the digital age and this site is set up to monopolize on it. Since launching, The BuzzBug was able to attend the Teen Choice Awards and is currently getting ready for the American Music Awards later this year. It’s one thing to work with so much celebrity content, but it’s another to actually be a part of it!
There is no denying that this digital generation loves celebrities and social media is the best way to see them come to life. If you love celebs and all that they post as much as we do, get engaged with The BuzzBug. You’ll spend less time scrolling and more time reading up on all the latest.
With The BuzzBug, we may have found the cure for when you’ve got the bug for buzz!
