Taylor Swift is performing the last U.S. show of her 1989 World Tour this coming Saturday in Tampa, which just so happens to be Halloween…Florida is clearly the real winner at life this year. I have been stuck with the mind-plaguing question that I’m sure other Swifties that plan to attend this concert must be asking themselves also: what do I WEAR? A concert on Halloween is a big opportunity for fans to really show off their true spirit for the artist that they’re seeing – it feels necessary for some reason. I came up with five different Taylor inspired costumes that not only those going to the concert can wear, but also just Swifties in general this Halloween. Depending on the look you want and/or the people you’re going with, there is a guaranteed costume for you!
1. A Cat
Meredith and Olivia are very sassy little cats and the real loves of Taylor’s life (sorry Calvin). We all know how much she loves cats, and from simple cat ears to a full suit, you can really dress this one up or down depending on the look you want!
2. Taylor in the You Belong With Me Music Video
This video is iconic, and no part is more memorable than the very beginning when Taylor jumps all over her room while singing into her hairbrush about the guy she longs for that just so happens to be laughing at her through the window. All you need for this one is an oversized white t-shirt, colorful markers, and some nerdy looking glasses and you’re good to go – plus, it’s the kind of outfit that’s good for a long night rocking out. The design is super easy to recreate (I’ve actually done it before). Feel free to bring a hairbrush with you if you’re going to the concert so you can jam out like Taylor on stage, too.
3. A Polaroid Photo
The cover of the 1989 album with the Polaroid photo is a hit, and you can even take this costume suggestion any way you want to. Wear the look in the photo or actually WEAR the photo – who says you can’t actually be a Polaroid?
4. The Fella Over There With the Hella Good Hair
If you happen to be bringing your boo with you anywhere you happen to be dressed as Taylor Swift this Halloween, make him dress up as Calvin Harris and you two can shake it together all night (aha, get it?). But seriously, just tell him to have hella good hair for you and he’s good to go (plus, guys love looks that don’t take much out of them).
5. Swift Squad
Planning to roll with the squad this Halloween? If you want to look sassy and fierce, dress up as the characters of the notorious Swift Squad – you’re sure to get all the jealous stares. Everyone will be wishing they were one of you the same way you wish you were one of them. Still waiting on the day I get my invite…
