What is your major, year, and expected graduation date?
I’m a Communications major, and a Business minor. and I plan on graduating in May of 2017.
What are you involved in on campus?
I’m currently in four organizations. I’m the public relations chair for NABA (National Association of Black Accountants,) a part of the Community service committee on ASA (African Students Association,) an editor and writer for Her Campus Albany, and I’m on the marketing team for ATV (Albany Student Television).
Ever find yourself stressed/how do you manage it?
Yeah, I do find myself stressed at times. The way I manage it is by keeping in contact with my mom, she is always able to lift my spirits! I also meditate to keep myself sane.
How has being involved impacted you personally?
NABA has been able to put me in higher places networking wise, and I’m now able to reach out to different people from NABA chapters from across the country.
I didn’t get involved my freshman year, but ever since I got involved my sophomore year, I’ve been very active. Especially community service wise, with what I’ve done, I’ve definitely grown as a person, being involved in the community is important to me.
What do your non-school related hobbies consist of?
Every Friday, I tutor kindergarten girls on their math skills. I’m able to form a bond with them, and set them on the right path.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
No one can really tell the future. I don’t know what’s going on tomorrow, so how can I know for ten years time? But, I hope to be a very well rounded business woman, and maybe some kids.
