No plans for Halloween? Don’t be spooked! There are plenty of haunting things to do that will keep you in the Halloween spirit, even if you are celebrating the scariest night of the year alone or at home.

Dress Up: You don’t have to buy a costume at the local Party City or even find a fancy DIY on Pinterest. Your favorite old Halloween shirt, orange and black footie pajamas, or the kitty ears you’ve been stashing in the back of your closet, may not seem like they will help out much, but looking the part will get you in the spirit and allow you to take those boo-tiful selfies.

Watch Halloween movies: What is October without Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town and some scary movies? Snuggle up in your warm blankets and break out the dusty DVDs. Nothing will get you feeling more spooky spirited than a few chilling surprises or your favorite witches and black cat.

Cook: Orange frosting, candy corn, ghost sprinkles and chocolate cupcake mix, are just a few of the necessary ingredients for a warm, tasty and adorable treat. Try this Pinterest DIY to keep you busy, full and creative.

Make a Halloween playlist: No matter what you’re doing, if its cleaning, blogging or waiting for trick-or-treaters, some Monster Mash or Michael Jackson’s Thriller will get you dancing around the house in your knee-high bat socks. But don’t scare the kids away with your thrilling dance moves.

A Halloween at home doesn’t have to be a frightening idea. For an extra haunting night try combining ideas, like watching scary movies in your footie pajamas while your cupcakes are baking. Have a happy Halloweekend!
