Campus Style: Florida’s “Sweater Weather”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Even though sweater weather should be upon us, Florida’s weather has other plans. With chilly temperatures in the morning and blistering heat by noon, it can be difficult to know how to dress for the weather. Many of us are shivering on our way to our first lecture, but then we are dealing with the dreaded backpack-sweat dilemma on our way to grab lunch. I spotted this collegiette who had mastered dressing for the ever-changing weather near Turlington Hall. Mara Seat balanced a cozy cardigan, perfect for the colder mornings, with an army-green romper and lace-up sandals, which kept the outfit perfect for the warmer afternoons. She also paired some killer accessories with this look. Keep reading to learn where Mara shops to achieve her effortlessly chic style!

Her Campus: What are you wearing and where is it from?
Mara Seat: “I’m wearing a romper from Forever 21. My shoes are from PacSun. Accessories are from Altar’d State. My sweater is from my friend’s closet.”

HC: What is your favorite place to go shopping?
MS: “My favorite places to shop are Altar’d State and PacSun. Wherever, basically!”

HC: How would you describe your personal style?
MS: “I would describe my personal style as very comfortable or whatever looks cute and comfortable together.”

HC: Do you have any advice for being cute and comfortable in class?
MS: “You can always wear leggings with something like a long shirt. You can also dress it up with necklaces and still be comfortable at the same time instead of just wearing yoga pants or a T-shirt. You can always add accessories or cute shoes or scarves to things to make your outfit look better.”
