This week’s campus cutie, Lauren Rainy, is a fun-loving, third-year Sociology major who also doubles as a server at every Golden Hawk’s favourite restaurant, Wilf’s. Lauren was kind enough to take some time out of her busy schedule and tell us a little about herself and her life here at Laurier. Get the scoop on this week’s campus cutie below!

Relationship Status: I can’t answer this without my lawyer present… Totally kidding, but, being a 20-year-old young lady, I think there is something sophisticated in keeping your private life private.
How are you involved at Laurier?
Wilf’s is probably my greatest involvement. I am a server there, but I also spend probably too much of my free time in there as well. Sorry, Jeyas.
What’s your favourite memory at Laurier so far?
Wilf’s Staffers. The Fam is wild.
What’s your favourite pastime outside of school?
Gangsta Rap, aha. I guess music in general. But I am always excited for new Hip Hop releases. When the new Dr. Dre album dropped this summer, the fade from the Intro into the second track “Talk About It” consumed my life for a week straight!
What’s your go-to drink on a night out?
Naked Grape Pinot Grigio. Well, any Pinot Grigio.
Favourite restaurant in Waterloo?
This is a hard one. I like different places for different things. Clearly, Wilf’s is a go-to. But, Failte and DVLB are two of my favourites, which I feel are underrated.
Any advice for incoming first-years?
Be yourself and really try and get to know the people in your residence, and your don. It creates an amazing support system for you that you’ll appreciate as you go into upper years. My don and my floor mates are still people I value and speak with frequently.
If you could swap lives with anyone in the world, who would it be?
Lana Del Rey… Anyone who knows me well knows I idolize her to an obscene amount.
