The middle of the semester can be tough. The homework is still piling up, but winter break is oh-so-close. Take some time to relax and dream of the holidays with a luxurious bath.

Step 1: Take a rinse and start the bath.

You don’t want to jump into the suds all grimy, so take a short rinse before your shower. Slip on a comfy robe and slippers when you’re done and get the bath water running.

Step 2: Choose your soap.

A warm bath isn’t fun without bubbles! Choose a yummy fall scent for your bath from your favorite company and drop it in, or if you’re feeling crafty, make your own!

Step 3: Set the scene.

While the tub finishes filling, adjust your environment for maximum bath time bliss. If the room is getting steamy, crack open a window (this will also ensure you won’t boil in the bath, allowing for a longer soak). Light some candles or burn some incense (or opt for a flame-free option), but make sure the soap and candle scents pair nicely first!

Step 4: Pick your entertainment.

If you think you might be bored in the bath, bring something to do! Try an audiobook (so your paperbacks stay nice and dry) or some soft music.

Step 5: Bring snacks!

This could be a great time to finish off all of that leftover Halloween candy! Whether you like sweet or salty, indulge on something tasty; try something with a wrapper or that you can eat with a spoon, to avoid soggy snacks.

Now all you have to do is enjoy and daydream about winter break. Hang in there, and remember to take some time for you!
