Her Campus: What is your ideal date?
Kris: “I like going for coffee because its casual and you can get to know someone by asking them personal questions. You can ask them about their hobbies, favorite tv shows and even what activities they have done. I like to keep things exciting while getting to know someone too.”
Her Campus: What do you look for in a woman?
Kris: “(Laughs) Can I look at my list? I look for selflessness, I want someone who looks out for other people and who puts others before themselves. I love passion because it shows that, in a relationship, you are not afraid to work for what you want. Also I look for someone who cares a lot, has a big heart, and can be adventures and ambitious at the same time. But most of all, I need someone who has a good taste in music because it is such a huge portion of my life.”
Her Campus: What kind of interests do you look for?
Kris: “I tend to look for someone who can sing because, like I said, it is such a huge portion of my life and it would be so cool to be able to do a duet with her. I also like community service becuase giving back to people has always been a top priority of mine, and to be able to do these things together would be great. By the time I graduated I had over 700 community service hours.”
Her Campus: Are you involed on campus?
Kris: “Yes, I am Vice President of Tone-Acious and I’m an RA.”
Her Campus: What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to you?
Kris: “Strange things happen to me all the time… When I started working at Texas Roadhouse this summer, within the first two days I had my tires slashed. Then the following day I was on my way back from working at Aeropostale and a man jumped in front of my car, so I freaked out and stopped to check if he was alright and he brushed himself off and ran away. I called the police and reported all of it, but nothing was ever found out. But to top it off, the day after that I was driving home around 9 pm and someone was following me up my driveway, which is very long I might add, and all of the sudden then turned around and sped away. I still have no idea what was going on that week.”
Her Campus: What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you?
Kris: “I have this strange thing were I am basically in a final destination story. I was in this freshman computer applications class in high school, and every year since I’ve had that class one of the members has died in a really tragic way. There were only seven people in the class and right now there is only one other person besides myself who is left. There was an ATV accident, multiple car accidents and even a stabbing. The one boy was stabbed by a girl from the class actually, it was really shocking because she honestly had no motive and denied it to the end, so she went to jail. The crazy thing is, is that the jail caught on fire and out of all the people in there she was the only one to die. The scariest thing is that it is always in the back of my mind, but in a sense it keeps me more adventurous so I take every day for what it is worth.”
Her Campus: What is the first thing you notice when you look at a girl?
Kris: “I’m going to go with eyes; the way you exchange eye contact with someone can really show you what you mean to them. I love to see someone’s passion in their eyes, I love beautiful eyes.”
Her Campus: Coffee or tea?
Kris: “I like both… but I like them iced, I don’t like hot drinks.”
Her Campus: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Kris: “I would go to Ireland because I’ve seen a lot of romance movies that take place there, and in all honesty, it seems like such a beautiful country. I actually want to go there for my study abroad, but as of right now that is still up in the air.”
Her Campus: Who has had the biggest influence in your life?
Kris: “I would say my mom. My mom is my rock, she has helped me through my trials and all of my hard times. She is always there for me, we talk basically everyday as well. We have such a strong mother-son bond that it is just incredible and I know that it will always continue; she means the world to me.”
Her Campus: Name five of your favorite things?
Kris: “Soft blankets, iced tea, inspirational quotes, music and the color gold.”
Her Campus: What piece of clothing could you not live without?
Kris: “Boots.”
Her Campus: What is your guilty pleasure?
Kris: “Covers of songs, I like when songs are re-done.”
Her Campus: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Kris: “I see myself in a foreign country being a finacial planner, because I want to help people organize their lives and be successful.”
Her Campus: Who do you see yourself with in 10 years?
Kris: “I hope I find someone in the next ten years, but if I don’t, (points at interviewer) Kayla. We promised to get married at 34 if we were still single (laughs) but I hope to find someone still, what is meant to be will happen.”
Thank you for the lovely interview Kris! HCXO
