The week before break is always the hardest and slowest week. When I should be studying my mind can’t help but wander to all of the things I need to do this Thanksgiving break and how little time there is to do them. There is friends and family to see, pets to hug, shopping to be done and, of course, food to be eaten! Among many other things to be done, Thanksgiving break is a short time, and we need to make sure we make the most of it. What better way to figure this out than to write a list of all the things that need to happen this Thanksgiving break. Here are all things to do to make the most of your Thanksgiving break!
1. See your old friends
Take the time to see some of your old high school friends that you haven’t seen in awhile! It’s been weird being away from my friends back home, and I just can’t wait to see them and catch up!
2. Run the Turkey Trot
It’s been a tradition for myself the past 2 years to run the Turkey Trot right before heading over to a family friend’s house for Thanksgiving! It’s the best way to start your Thanksgiving day by running with some friends or family. Then, you won’t have to feel guilty for eating as much as you will be later that day, because you will have just ran off all those calories!
3. Watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
4. Have a Good Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday next to Christmas. There’s just something about the chilly weather and spending the day inside with my friends and family that I love. But mostly just all the food and pie.
5. Watch a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
This is the perfect movie to end your Thanksgiving Day with!
6. Shop on Black Friday
I’m a poor college student, so you better believe I’m going to be out shopping all the deals on Friday!
7. Cut down a Christmas tree
Ever since I was a little girl, my family always made the point to cut down a Christmas tree the weekend right after Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving break may only be 5 days, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be the best 5 days of your life! Hope everyone has the best Thanksgiving ever!
