Between picking your classes and the pre-craziness of upcoming finals, it’s difficult to have time to think of what to wear on Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is best known for stuffing your face and getting together with extended family members you rarely get to see. Given that it’s been awhile since you’ve seen these family members, all eyes are on you. Rather than let those all-nighters get the best of your appearance, you want to look your best! Try to make those promises you’ve made to Mom about “taking care of yourself at school” the least bit believable. Take note of these outfit ideas that not only guarantee to make a statement, but will allow you to pig out in (without losing a button or two). Feel free to grab an extra slice of pie and dig in!

Printed Dresses
Whether you’re planning on sporting a classic T-shirt dress, a chic and comfortable wrap dress, a midi dress (which is perfect if you’re looking to lengthen your figure) or even an over-all inspired dress for a bolder look – the options (and not to mention fabric styles) for flattering printed dresses are endless, making them such an easy and fun go-to for occasion wear. If you’re looking for a dress that will take you from lunch at your SO’s to a party at your cousin’s house, go for a simpler style such as the striped T-shirt dress or bohemian inspired midi dress (as pictured above). Because these styles have a natural flow in their fabric, even if you throw on tights and a pair of killer booties, the look won’t be too overdone. If you’re looking to dress to impress at a more formal Thanksgiving, go for a bolder print such as the geometric overall dress or the more detailed wrap dress. The wrap dress is literally full proof, highlighting only your best curves. Meanwhile, the layered geometric look makes a unique statement that guarantees to turn heads at a more formal occasion. Remember when mixing prints or wearing a printed ensemble with different sized prints, wear small prints for any assets you want to highlight. These smaller prints will draw in your eye, whereas larger prints are better for problem areas. Similarly, vivid toned prints are best for highlighting, while dark or earth toned prints are best for slimming.

Co-ord Set
Whether you’re going for a solid or patterned look, the co-ord set is perfect for day-to-night. With it’s all in one style, and versatile cuts, the options are extensive. If you’re attending a more formal gathering, go for the blouse and tube skirt or blouse and full skirt combo. The sleek fit of the tube skirt will accentuate your curves while still looking sophisticated enough for a sit down dinner. The full skirt is perfect if you plan to dance the night away. Going for a unique look? Try the printed blazer and fringe skirt or the oversized sweater with culotte pant combo. The printed blazer and fringe skirt makes a statement without looking too overdone, while the oversized sweater and culotte pant make for an effortless cozy chic look.

Jumpsuit
The flexibility of the jumpsuit means there’s one for everybody! If you’re trying to hide your midsection, go for a style that has a looser top that you can fold over. If you’re pear shaped, go for a style with a flared leg to balance out your lower half. Avoid any lengths that are either elastic fabric or cut you at the thicker part of your calf, which will make you look shorter. For those of you with legs that go for miles, try a loose-cropped cut that hangs over the calf. It gives off an easygoing vibe and looks great with a pair of gladiator sandals. If you’re straight up and down, shoot for a jumpsuit with a stiff or boxy-like fabric. Stiffer fabrics (especially when printed) create the illusion of curves for women who don’t have them naturally. The key to this is cinching a belt at the waist! If you have more of the athletic build, have no fear: go with a haltered or high-neck version. The jumpsuit options are endless and a total must for the holiday season!

Knit/sweater dresses
If you don’t currently own a knit or sweater dress, add these to your holiday wish lists stat and watch as they quickly become one of your favorite pieces! Whether you’re looking for something to throw on before those dreadful morning classes or are stuck in a rut with “nothing to wear” over the holidays, these are perfect for an effortlessly put together look.

Little Black Dresses
As the saying goes, when in doubt, whip out an LBD. The timeless classic is a crowd favorite and versatile enough for any sort of occasion. Whether you go for a leather, velvet, lace or pleated look – there’s plenty of flattering cuts and styles to choose from. Dress up your look with a funky pair of wedges and bold accessories for an added flair, or dress it down for a casual look with dainty accessories and a pair of buckled booties.
