5 Comfy Outfits for your Thanksgiving Feast

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OR State chapter.

Though some people are thinking ahead about the winter holidays to come a very special occasion is coming up that shouldn’t be forgotten. Thanksgiving is upon and that means it’s time for family, food, and relaxation, even if only for a little while before finals. You’ll need an outfit for all of these events – with an elastic waistband included.

1. The Thanksgiving feast at home:

If your plans include hanging out with your parents and siblings at home for Thanksgiving, there’s not much reason to get all dolled up. Throw on your favorite thanksgiving shirt, comfy boots, leggings with a stretchy waistband, and a cardigan to keep you warm and you’re good to go. In case you have to go out grocery shopping for last minute ingredients you’ll still look cute but not overdone.

2. The pre-dinner football game:

If you’re throwing around the football on Thanksgiving you’re going to want an outfit that’s comfy, warm, and can stand a few grass stains. Grab your favorite sweatshirt, your worn out pair of converse, some distressed denim, and layer up.

3. The post-dinner studying session:

If you’ve got some projects to finish and papers to write over the oh-so-short Thanksgiving break then you’re gonna want to grab your biggest pair of sweatpants, warmest slippers, and winter gear and get down to business.

4. The fancy dinner out:

If your family prefers to go out for dinner on Thanksgiving try on a t-shirt or shift dress for size. You’ll still look stylish but your dress won’t restrict you from eating a sizeable feast of whatever your heart desires.

5. The Friendsgiving party

For your Friendsgiving look try on some comfy flare pants with some chic ankle booties and a cozy cardigan. Mix some prints and really have fun with your look because you’re among friends who love and care for you. Don’t forget your apron for making some thanksgiving goodies throughout the day, whether it’s the traditional turkey dinner or a takeout chinese food feast.
