It’s that time of the year again collegiettes! I’m talking about THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR – CHRISTMAS! For the next 25 days, Her Campus Winthrop will be counting down the days until Christmas by sharing tips and tricks on shopping for gifts and gift ideas along with great holiday movies and music you don’t want to miss out on! So to kick off our holiday festivities, we want to share with you some gift ideas that won’t make you or your bank account cry. Enjoy!
1. Candles
Whether they are small candles, big candles, soy candles, tea-light candles, these smell-good treats are the best present to get anyone! I mean who doesn’t love their house, apartment or dorm smelling like Sparkling Cinnamon from Yankee Candle?
2. Fleece
I’m talking fleece blankets, fleece socks, jackets, hats, etc. I’m telling you, watching Elf with these comfy PJs and blanket on you is how Christmas should be spent!
3. $5 movies
Um…hello? $5. Need I say more?
4. A mug with someone’s initials on it with some hot chocolate and marshmallows
Such simplicity. When Christmas comes to town, so do the Santa and snowmen mugs. Cheers! Just throw some hot chocolate packets in the mugs with a cute bag full of marshmallows and the Christmas cheer will fill the air!
5. Beauty accessories or essentials
It’s true what they say, make-up does make the world go round.
6. Scarves, Mittens and Hats
It doesn’t matter if they are knit, cotton, wool or fleece, as long as they can keep me warm, that’s all that matters! :)
7. Food
It’s pretty self-explanatory. Food fills us up and when we are full, we are happy and who doesn’t love being happy while eating food?
8. Journals
We all have at least one person in our life who loves to write, so why not get them a journal to write all of their thoughts down throughout the new year!
