1.  Schedule and actually go to a doctors appointment.

Just because you are home and can escape your collegiate/academic responsibilities for a few days doesn’t mean life halts all together.  Put your big girl pants on and pick up the phone!

2.  Get your hair, nails and eyebrows done.

(+10 points if you can convince your mom/dad to pay for it)

3.  Do your laundry.

Unless Mom reallyyyy wants to do it for you *blink blink blink*

4.  Replenish your school wardrobe.

As you head home for break, bring your flip-flops, sandals, denim shorts and maxis with you.  I know we’re all in denial of the warm weather leaving us for a few agonizing months, but taking up closet space is not going to make winter go faster.

5.  Shop ’til you drop.

Now that you have all that extra space you have room for some new clothes/shoes! (As if you needed an excuse)  Plus, it’s nice to go shopping in a mall you know like the back of your hand.

6.  Shop around your house.

Paper towels, canned stuff, shampoos, lotions, nail polish, DVDs, FOR FREE.

7.  Catch up with friends.

This truly is important.  Just because you have grown as a person and made new friends does not mean you should lose touch with or lose sight of where you came from.

8.  Eat some good food.

Whether it’s mom’s lasagna, dad’s sirloin steak, or that bomb pizza in town, now is the time to feast.

9.  Hug your parents.

This should be the first AND last thing you do.  Be sure it’s good and tight and make certain to soak up all that love; you might need it to power you through the rest of your semester.

10.  Thank your parents.

And then thank them again, because you wouldn’t be where/who you are if it weren’t for them.
